A New Espace Cartier for The Hague
Steltman Jewellers has been an important presence in the The Hague since 1917 when Johannes Steltman opened his first jewellery business. Many Steltman creations grace museum collections throughout the Netherlands and the store also sells exclusive jewellery and watch collections, by top luxury brands.
Our team created a 10sqm Espace Cartier within the elegant store, supplying and installing walls, coverings, back-lighting of wall-panels, shelves and a TV frame as well as a chest of drawers, mirror and LED lighting. Using the classic Espace materials of wood, fabric, wallpaper and gold-painted metals, they spent two days on site at the end of September completing the restyling project and adding the finishing touches: logo, ornamental elements, tv screen, display case and freestanding furniture (counter, table, lamp and chairs).
Nearby there are many places of interest to visit: historical monuments, museums and art galleries. Art lovers should not miss the Mauritshuis museum, with its fascinating collection of Dutch and Flemish paintings from the 17th century, including the “Girl with a Pearl Earring” by Johannes Vermeer and many famous Rembrandts. Discover the largest painting in the Netherlands at Panorama Mesdag. This circular canvas, by Hendrik Willem Mesdag is more than 14 metres high and about 120 metres in circumference. It creates the illusion that the viewer is on a high sand dune overlooking the sea and village of Scheveningen in the late 19th century.
Parks, forests, museums and art galleries offer tranquillity and culture, while the car-free central streets have a vast array of luxury boutiques and fine restaurants. The various shopping areas in the centre, such as De Plaats square, where our prestigious, jewellery store project is located, each have their own unique identity, making it the perfect place for a day out.
