Burberry Shines in Toronto
Our team have just completed an important restyling job for the spectacular Burberry store in the Yorkdale Mall, Toronto. Ideally situated a short drive from the international airport and the waterfront, good transport links mean that you can explore Yorkdale, indulge your senses in the luxury boutiques there and visit the rest of the city in a day.
We engineered the facades for the new store, as well as some of the interior furnishings. The stylish façade consists of a series of box shapes made of iron structures and milled wood panels with an intriguing perforated effect, painted and galvanized in shades of champagne gold or brass. The team created wooden supports with magnets and frames in pale gold galvanized metal and supplied the limestone finishings with a stunning chequered design. We also installed the LED lighting, large mirrors, display units in white and beige lacquer, galvanised metal rails, hooks with logos and the elegant sofas and seating covered in the softest fabric.
Yorkdale Shopping Centre is one of Canada’s busiest malls, spanning 2 million square feet with approximately 270 stores including many international luxury brands. Burberry was one of the first shops in the original ‘luxury wing’ and no trip to the mall would be complete without stopping to admire the gleaming, linear design of our latest project.
